Shoe size
I teach vocational horticulture, so I usually wear work boots or sneakers to work. I had to present awards at an assembly today, and I packed a pair of heels to change into. I didn't realize how big they had gotten! I was practically stepping out of them. I know it's common for shoe size to change after weight loss, and I don't want to invest in new shoes until that happens (especially for shoes that I won't wear very often). My question is - at what point did your feet stop shrinking? Before goal? At goal? some time during maintenance?

When I was 347 pounds, I generally wore an 8.5 to a 9 W or WW -- often a 9 just to get the width. In fact, I was certain that I had naturally wide feet.
At my current weight, I wear a 6.5 or 7 in medium width. I've worn that size since I was about 3/4 to goal.
Hope that helps.

I love this question since it's one of those things I never thought about pre-op. :)
The only way my feet changed with weight loss was in width, not length. So I still wear the same size, I can just wear actual women's width shoes now instead of men's width shoes. Which is pretty freaking awesome for me - not useful for you :P

My feet were 15 5E before I started losing weight. Today, 205 lbs down, they are STILL 15 5E. My head got smaller though. I wonder what that says about me?

So, my feet were a 6 or 6.5 before kids. After kids 7-8. Pre surgery, 8.5 sometimes wide. Now, I'm wearing anywhere between a 7 and an 8 depending on the shoe and no longer need a wide. I was never able to wear Nike sneakers (even pre-kid) yet now, I have two pairs of Nike's that I train in. I'm about 15 pounds from goal, so I don't think my feet will change much more.
Keep on losing!

I lost a shoe size, my daughter who used to work at a shoe shop says that I was only really in an 11 because of the width. Now that I'm back to a normal width I'm walking out of my 11s and am having to replace my dress shoes with 10s. My daughter is reaping the benefit as she's a true 11.
