You did not answer the question - How much magnesium and calcium are you getting each day?

With all of your aforementioned medical issues you really need to be talking with your team of health professionals about this.

Some one mentioned, how's your full daily Bariatric dosage of vitamins? Check it out, since it reads just maybe your blood chemistry are low or getting low enough to start feeling and seeing what happens w/o them. Not trying to preach or scare you but get a "bariatric panel" blood analysis to double check that your elements are normal post op. Some deficiencies can be hard to recover from and could possibly do permanent damage. Vitamin A, B1, and D3 are high on the list for creating nerve issues. Check Bariatric vitamin dosage to help too. Bariatric professionals are best go to for your solutions. I am RNY.

You need to see a hematologist, but do not rule out herniated disks.

I had similar symptoms (full body muscle spasms) after a car accident. The doctors indicated that my disk was pressing up against my spinal column and that any bump in the road could make me paralyzed. Long story short, I had an emergency spinal fusion the following day.

I'm having horrible muscle spasms. I'm taking magnesium , eating bananas for potassium, and soaking in epson salts but still have a few each day in both right and left ands and in right forearm and both legs and feet.

Last blood test showed I was not anemic but ferritin was 4.And I carve ice all day.

I had artificial disk put in C7/T1 and herniations at C4/5/6 so it might be neck related?

Anyone have this from bypass?

I'm not a doctor (nor do I play one on TV) but I would bet money that you are anemic. You have a ferritin of 4 and you are craving ice, which equals PICA. Who told you that you're not anemic? A doctor?

It has nothing to do with your neck/back.

Get to a hematologist or oncologist who understands malabsorption. You need iron infusions.
