Have you heard of My Body Gallery? It's a website where people upload pictures of themselves, and you can filter them by measurements, weights, or clothes size. It's a great way to see the variety between people who share your weight/stats. It definitely helped me with some of the comparison guilt.

I do remember that site... I used to use it just prior to my WLS because I Had such a hard time thinking I was "really that big"

I should go in there now and take a look at folks my height and my weight.

Thanks for the reminder

Yep, could have written this. I'm also suffering from what I have dubbed 'next goal syndrome'. No matter where I'm at, I can see the next round number in sight. I'm 133, so I could be in the 120's. For a while, i****ing 150lbs lost (hit that). Now I've considered 100lbs since surgery, which is another 3.2lbs. Except, all these goals are way below my goal and way below my stretch goal. I don't need to be there! I don't even WANT to be there.

And yeah, this chick doesn't forget to eat.

I hit something like 135.6 as my lowest (once for just a minute LOL), and I decided that I 'needed' to see 133... I never did, and I had to talk to myself about it for a while before I finally 'allowed' myself to call it 'goal' at where I am.

Who forgets to eat??! Not me! LOL

My original goal was 147 (what the interwebs told me was 'ideal weight'). Then someone gave me crap about it being a strange uneven number. So I revised it to 145. I blew past that and said I'd set my for real I promise goal to 135-140. Now I'm bouncing between 132-134. My husband really wants me back up to 135, if nothing else just to show that I can really stay there. I saw 131 just once and my heart went pitter patter about the 120's. But, seriously brain - knock it off!

I wanted to 'see' 116 on the scale and that never happened. the last time I was at 118 was when i couldn't eat solid food and on total liquids before the hernia/twisted sister bowel.

I feel nervous and anxious and worried that I am a failure. I have been on a 2 week stall hovering around 265 lbs. I can't get the scale to move and I don't know what to do to change it. Needlessly I worry that I am doing something wrong. My surgeon says I need more calories but everyone here says to stay around 700. It makes me conflicted and I worry about doing the right thing.

If it helps, my surgeon says a true stall isn't until you hit 4 weeks with no change on the scale and no change in your measurements. Keep at it and give yourself another two weeks before freaking out! (Easier said than done, I know...)

The scale will move eventually without a doubt. If you want to play with your stall a little bit, you can see what happens when you have 1 higher carb day (50g or so) and then back to low carb, or 1 higher calorie day and then back to 700, or spend a day or two eating 90% of your calories from fat and then back to normal....these all seem to break stalls for some people. But just sticking to the plan is excellent too!

Thanks! I did figure I would up my calories for a bit and see if it was enough to shock my body! Always keep it guessing.
