Ladies--need advice on compression briefs

Finally at the point where even in my clothes the hanging belly is bugging me. Since I no longer buy long tunics I need something to lift and even all that out. I'm looking for tried and true suggestions for briefs that do the trick but don't cost an arm and a leg (under $40) if that's even possible.

Help!!

I've never had good luck with compression briefs-- the tops always rolled down and got very uncomfortable! Even at my lowest weight, I was never hourglass-shaped enough to make them work.

Instead, I have really good luck with long camis, you can find some that will come all the way down to your butt-crack. Something like this style.

I usually buy all of my camis at Ross because they're really cheap there! The lowest price I ever see on Amazon is around fifteen bucks, but at Ross they're usually between $6 - 8 .

But do the camis hold up the apron where it should be? That's my main concern. I don't mind briefs or something hitting me at the waist, I just don't like seeing it hanging down below the bottom of my tops.

The camis that I get are quite long-- they usually reach to my hip bones, if not an inch or two lower. I can definitely pick up all of my tummy jiggle, arrange it under the spandex, and get a relatively smooth line between bellybutton and mons.

I'll usually put the cami on over my undies, but tucked into my jeans. Then the normal shirt goes over top of that.

That's pretty much what I do. Can't go without it!

I love Slimpressions... many of the compression garments I have tried roll down to my natural waist line and are so uncomfortable... I can wear 2 from Slimpressions and feel totally secure that nothing is going to roll or bunch. worth every penny and they have a lot of different types

They were also at the conference this past weekend

I have the "under the bust" to the hips garment and the thighs/waist garment. I wore them both with my dress at the conference. helps me feel "put together". I have a pretty large apron and this helps me hide it and smooth things out

Hey Lauren! I recognize you from the conference! You were running around with the mike in a lot of the sessions, weren't you? I wish I could have made it to the after party, but I had to fly home super early on Sunday to avoid the storm which came into the Northeast and needed to got to bed early and be on east coast time.

You look gorgeous in this gown btw!

Yes! That was me! I am glad you made it home safely (and even more happy you were able to enjoy yourself at the conference). Hopefully you will be making it to Anaheim next year!!!

Thank you for the compliment!

If you're interested in a brief situation, take a look at Maidenform or Flexees. If you have a Hanes Outlet nearby, that's a good place to look. Also Stein Mart has them and maybe even Walmart. Ross, TJ Maxx/Marshall's can also be good places to look. To combat roll-down, look for ones that go all the way up to your bust or even attach to your bra.

As for myself, I'm like Sparklekitty and I do the shaping cami. I wear the ones from Maidenform that are like a really low-cut tank top and wear my own bra. It really makes a big difference and I just can't go without.

I like the tops that are cut out at the boobs - so like a really long cami - the compression isn't over the boobs (I hate the uniboob look). I love my Spanx. Don't care that they are expensive. They don't roll, wash well and are comfortable.

Keep on losing!
