****yx

I've lost so much padding in my butt that I literally feel like I'm sitting on a ball when driving or laying on my back. I can easily feel my very prominent ****yx. I didn't have this problem when I was this same weight in my early 20s. I wonder whether I might have fractured my ****yx during childbirth 1.5 years ago or if this is just the result of muscle mass loss. Do you have this issue too?
Advise to get very good sheepskin type pillow or one of the gel cushions... Once you have an issue with the nerve pathways back there, will reoccur. My tail bone has been broken at least 3 times... so I did not necessarily relate it to the weight loss, but is definitely an issue to be taken care of.
Or is the muscle loss plus the lose skin. Even with muscles there,- they just "move to sides " so you are sitting on your tail bone. I probably have 6-7 ****yx pillows. Even in my car for driving. In my office, etc. I often take one when I travel to be more comfortable on plane - for flights longer than 2 hours. And then to be able to have the pillow in a rental.
Another solution is to buy padded panties. Lol. I have 2 pairs. If I don't take a pillow when in travel- I take at least one. It helps w been I need to sit on a hard surface when visiting customers, or having lunch or dinner.
Finding one that fits right - for what you need can be challenging. But a lot of them can be returned.

Yup. And it got worse again after my first reconstructive surgery. I suggest investing in a ****yx pillow to sit on.

Mine bothered me in the beginning probably about 40 pounds away from goal. I can't remember when it subsided, but it eventually did for me and my bottom feels fine sitting now.

I read somewhere that it has a lot to do with HOW we sit when we are obese. Compensating for a large belly, etc, makes you sit a certain way. When we lose all that padding, we have to readjust how we sit in order to keep the weight off the tailbone. I also notice that the sway that had developed in my lower back is much less pronounced now that I am not compensating for my huge belly (I carried all my weight there). It just takes time to adjust, at least for me.
Interesting topic. Yep I have had this too. I need to get a better pillow for my computer chair. Trip to B B and B in order.
I saw a tv show of a woman who had such a prominent tail bone after wls that she had surgery to adjust it. Seems extreme but not if you are in pain. Seems like pillows are in order. I have a memory foam pillow that was made for my head but I don't like sleeping on it so I sit on it. Anyway padding sounds like a plan. Who knew we would ever want to add bulk of any type!
