I"m not surprised - on the thing I was looking at, the wine pairing was $185 - and it may have been a year or two out of date. Egad!

Wow, what a once in a lifetime chance to experience so many tastes!

I wouldn't feel guilt over anything... if cost isn't an issue, and your partner already understands you probably won't eat all of everything, GO!

Savor every bite!

Try the food. How often does that experience come? As for Legoland, woo hoo! I would be more excited about that!! That's a dream of mine.

We just got back from Chicago, I ordered 6 entrees. I was worried about the price but I wanted to try authentic Honduranean food because my husband is from Honduras. There are no Honduranean restaurants in Louisville KY. I tried a bit of everything and it was great. We packed it all up in to go boxes and brought it home. The food didn't go to waste or waist. The kids attacked it as soon as we got home.

Here is my opinion. First, you only live once. Two, you had the surgery to live a fuller life. Three....and most important..to me anyway...you'll kick yourself all over for not having that experience.

My brother would literally cry if he went to legoland..He would so freak out!

If I were given the chance to go to The French Laundry in Napa, I would go in a heartbeat, even though I can't eat much. It's the experience that matters the most, and you can still taste the food, bu not eat the whole course. You'll love it! Do it! You and Lance will have a wonderful time and will be talking about it for years to come.

Do it!! It's about the experience, as others have said.

My husband and I are huge Disney fans. We love going to Party for the Senses during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. It's a $300 pp ticket for tasting plates and drinks from multiple chefs. I have every intention of going again next year, even though I've had RNY.

It's not about quantity. It quality -- of food, of entertainment, of overall enjoyment!

Our ultimate decision is to try out a tasting menu locally in December :) We'll see how that goes for me and then make the decision about Noma!
