hi, I've been big my whole life and Im on my way towards losing weight by dieting. Down 20 pounds so far! But my question is under my stomach roll I have these red bumps, some hurt and some don't. Sometimes they fill up with puss. The big ones eventually go away but there's always small red ones. I just hate them, they can be painful, and I hate how they look. What could this be? Is there some way to prevent it?

It could be a yeast infection or some other skin infection from the rubbing of the skin. Keep the skin as clean and dry as possible. See your doctor as you may need an antibiotic cream to put on them. People swear by all kinds of things to keep dry - my favorite is the Anti Monkey Butt powders. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Anti-Monkey-Butt-Lady-Powder-6-Oz /121527336?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222 227040642914&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=99655039834&wl4=pla-235748 070994&wl5=1025197&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11= online&wl12=121527336&wl13=&veh=sem

But do see a doctor - they can help you develop a plan based upon how the skin lays.

Keep on losing!

First I will suggest going to the doctor due to the fact you are probably dealing with a bad yeast/fungal infection and need some stronger anti-fungal cream.

If that is not an option. You can go to the drug store and find a topical antifungal cream like lotrimin, sometimes advertised for atheletes foot or ring worm (both fungal infections). Important thing is to clean area very well with soap and water and dry very well. I would do that a couple of times a day while infected.

You can also buy a anti fungal powder to coat the cream so it?s not so slippery. It usually works pretty good. If you don?t see improvement in 3 days or so, or if you develop a fever, or it worsens you should definitely access a healthcare provider.

Go see a medical doctor and have those rashes documented.

I had a LBL paid for because I had so much documentation.

If you have aspirations to get a tummy tuck covered by insurance, these rashes documented over and over again will show a pattern as cause for surgery other than for vanity purposes.

Now that's out of the way, if you're the DIY type, you've probably got a fungal infection. This is the same kind of infection as diaper rash, vaginal yeast infections, athletes foot or jock itch. The treatment is the same, too. Vaginal cream has more active ingredient if you want a stronger medicine option. Rub some cream on that area in the morning and bedtime. Through the day, you want to limit the moisture (sweat) in the folds. I did this by tucking paper towels underneath for the day.

Depends what they look like. I get an occasional 1 or 2 in that area, but my doctor has told me they are cysts from blocked sweat ducts. Usually happens in the summer. Go to the doctor the make sure it's not some kind of yeast infection.
