Is anyone else having issues with hair regrowth 14 month post op gastric bypass?

I begin losing my hair in handfuls 4 month post op and stopped about 4 months later, now all around my hair line it looks like I have extremely short bangs. Not sure if my bangs broke off from flat iron or Could this be regrowth?

Not that I am complaining, it just look odd...what is weird that its all around my hairline but long in other places. My hair is extremely dry now, and I have bought a lot of very expensive products trying to combat it.

If your hair has been dry, it could be breakage. A hair stylist may be able to determine if it's breakage or regrowth.

I went to my hair stylist yesterday and she said she really couldn't tell. I am wondering if it's because she may have over processed my hair (causing breakage) 2 months ago when I had my hair highlighted being she left the dye on what seemed to be a lot longer than usual and it was a lot lighter blonde the last time she colored it. That's why I figured that I would ask if anyone is having this issue...

Eureka! I'll bet you that's what happened. I was thinking it's a little too long of a time span to blame on telogen effluvium. If it's not the chemical incident, I'd next be looking at nutritional levels to make sure you're not losing hair due to malnutrition.

It sounds like regrowth to me. My hair started falling out about 4 months ago and I now have a 0.5-1" fringe/halo. The same thing happened after each of my pregnancies too.

It sounds like regrowth to me. My hair started falling out at around the same time of yours, and instantly started regrowing, even though other hairs kept falling out for a few more months. So the regrowth is at different stages; the older regrowth is longer and the new regrowth is shorter. I even have weird side burns now, lol, due to the regrowth.
