NSV!

Guys, I fee like I gush on here a lot. I just live far away from my hospital so I can never make it to support group, so y'all are the people I talk to about wls life. Sorry if it's annoying.

Anyway, NSVs for month 5:

I'm learning how solid bodies are. Like dang, had there always been so many bones? Haha. I say the faint glimmer of a rib cage yesterday and literally cried.

I can cross my legs, touch my toes, put my nose to my knees, and paint my own toe nails (I don't, but I could!)

I did a mile in 13 minutes yesterday! Hardly a world record, but a life record for me. And I maintained a conversation throughout it. Normally I wouldn't even be able to breathe.

My skin is getting better! I've struggled with adult acne forever. I'm not sure if it's the diet change, working out, or something else- but it's improving. I'm still going on accutane though.

And okay, this last one maybe isn't a NSV, but oh well. I've decided to get a certification in personal training and woman's fitness. I guess the NSV is that I have the confidence and the passion to pursue this additional career. Yay! I might not have the typical body for personal training or even the typical story. But I really think I love fitness enough that I could help other woman (and men) who have struggled with weight. And it would help hold me accountable and keep me motivated for years to come, I think.

thanks for listening to the happy rant.

Awesome NSVs!! I'm continually fascinated by the bones I feel in my body. I'm constantly discovering new ones and I'm like...I had no idea there was a bone there! lol. My sternum causes me endless fascination...it's so weird to be 57 and never have really realized it was there because I never felt it before hahaha

Haha right?? It's crazy! I love my sternum too! And my collarbones, too. I'm constantly touching them. They feel so cool. And last week i was feeling my lowered back when I discovered these bones that must be my hip bones. I made my sister, whose always been thin, touch them. She was like, yup congrats on having a skeleton. Haha. But then she gave me a big hug which made up for her lack of enthusiasm.

Gush whenever you feel inspired!_ I too use ob as my support group. Had an nsv myself yesterday bought jeans for the first time in years and they weren't plus sized. So...congratulations.

Awesome NSV's! I am at goal and can't touch my nose to my knees or run a 13-minute mile. I've done a 13:15 once and there was no talking during it, lol.

I'm not sure when the fascination of bones wears off, but just wait as you get smaller and smaller. My left lowest rib juts out way more than the right. I'm 34 and had no idea that was the case until recently.

That's so crazy to think that we have these bodies buried under our other bodies! It's cool that you were able to learn that about yourself.
