Donna - I'm going to send you a private message to see if you know of any WLS or eating disorder mental health specialists in my area. Thank you so much for offering to help us find our best resources!

It is my pleasure. I suffered with an eating disorder for over a decade and did not get a correct diagnosis until I was in my 30s. I also hate misinformation and there is a ton of it, which is lame because there are so many great resources now.

You are definitely not alone, either!! Many of us have similar issues, and even if someone does not 100% have the same thing as me, it has always helped me in dealing with my own eating disorder so much.

Hang in there and don't ever give up

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Thank you Donna L for such a succinct description. I was a habitual over-eater prior to the start of my bingeing and it is very difficult to articulate the distinction between my usual large meals/constant snacking and a BED binge. Emotionally and mentally they were very different. I worry sometimes the diagnosed is minimized or overused so I rarely talk about it, thank you for emphasizing the seriousness of the disorder.
