Good morning Stephani!

Battling regain myself, 32 pounds! ouch!!!

I dont know why it took that long to get me to stop the insanity. Finally in June, back to tracking my food, and eating protein forward meals have helped me shed 18 pounds so far.

Thank goodness my tool still works!

Isn't it wonderful that our tools still work? I mean, at 11 years out, I sat down with a rotisserie chicken the other day to test when I would feel fullness, and only got about 1/2 or one side of the breast meat eaten before I felt serious restriction. It is nice to know that we don't really ruin our surgery, as many fear. The pouch does stretch some, naturally, but it works if we give it the chance to.

Congrats on your loss! 18 pounds is great!

Are you losing with that plan? I only use protein shakes when I cannot handle food and my weight drops too low.

Yes, I begin losing right away when I get back to basics with protein drinks and a healthy meal. For instance, tonight I had some grilled chicken breast and some zucchini and mushrooms cooked in pasta sauce.

When I get super bored with it, I'll allow myself to have another meal and subtract one of the protein drinks, whether from breakfast or lunch.

Hi, I am another old timer (close to 8 years now) and in the past couple of years have had about 15 lb regain. I still look pretty good but don't like where this is headed. I am a sleeve and have kind of made the same mistakes as you.

You might come to the vsg maintenance group where we talk about this a lot. Doesn't matter that you are not a sleeve. All are welcome. Lots of interesting posts by Kairk on regain and reasons for it.

Yeah too much sitting is not good. I have slid back into my sedentary habits and am trying to reverse that. Have dog = reason to walk. diane S

He's a French Brittney, and he'll top out around 35 lbs. I choose this breed because I wanted a dog that would LOVE to go for a run but not NEED to go for a run, in a climate that ranges from hot humid summers to snowy winters. They're a little smaller and a lot more laid back than the American version of the Brittney :)

Some of his siblings are still available! Mackinaw Valley Gun Dogs (in central IL) They're on FB... just sayin!

He is just adorable! I have 2 rescuers and babysit my grand doggie. LOL I need another one like a hole in my head. IL? WOOHOO, my old stomping ground. Lived in the Naperville/Aurora area for over 30 years.

Do you know what you are going to name him?
