Kathy S - WLS Journey - Let the insurance battle begin!
November 24, 2005
After I posted and cried, everyone was so wonderful as always and said fight, appeal, don't give up. So after getting my copy of the denial letter, I called and set up appointments for all doctors that would apply to my problems:
Back Doctor: My balance is off and I am falling all the time. I have lower back pain all the time. Going for on going PT if needed.
Skin: Going to a specialist for on going treatment of my bloody open wounds. (taking photos)
PCP: She will continue to see me for infections. (taking photos)
GYN: Extra weight of the skin is causing issues with my bladder.
Urologist: Bladder issues for the extra weight of the skin.
And any other medial doctor I can think of that my problems pertain to. If they want a "BIG" bill and a history of medical issues I will give it to them.
Updated thoughts - Again I know this is old but if it helps 1 person to know what steps to take in hopes the insurance company will change their mind then it was worth it. As you read I was getting ready for battle and was not going to give up until they saw just how bad things were and approve my surgery.
