(((Hugs)))

You are no where near being a failure... you are one of the most successful people on here. And it has nothing to do with whether or not you lose or gain a few pounds. I've watched you learn more about yourself than anyone else I can think of on this board.

And you have taught me a lot of things along the way.

You're a huge success, and you'll succeed in anything that you put your mind to.

Thanks for sharing. I really do appreciate how open you are with us all

I've been tripped up by fruit too. When I reintroduced it per my bariatric office's recommendations, I didn't start craving sugar, I started CRAVING BREAD. All caps because I don't think I understood the true power of a REAL craving until I experienced this post WLS bread craving (pan pizza crust, warm from the oven biscuits, I wasn't picky - it all sounded as necessary as oxygen!). I cut way back on the fruit and the cravings backed off.

Have you tried therapy for your addictions? I am curious if there is any help to be found there? I've been in therapy for the past decade and find the cognitive behavioral therapy to be the most helpful in general but I'm not sure how much it might help with addiction issues. I've used it with moderate success to cope with spending problems (retail therapy).

Your self awareness and willingness to call yourself out is powerful.

I have been in therapy for years. I am just going through a rough patch and having a pity party.

I am better.
