Susan, you are awesome

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life

You said it best yourself - "I know I am not a failure. A failure would be someone who gives up."

It's hard. It will always be hard for most (all) of us, but you CAN do it.

Trust me though. Having WLS was one of the best decisions I have made. I would not go back and change.

I am a stronger person.

Nothing about this is easy. Fighting demons full time is wearing but you can do it. Thanks for sharing and giving back instead of giving in.

I KNOW you can do this! You are strong and determined! Keep remembering that.

For assistance, I find that making myself track and weigh daily helps keep me from those extra useless calories (because the calories and resulting weight are inescapable).

Amen! This journey isn't over by a long shot (if we're lucky) and offers almost unlimited chances to learn so much more about ourselves and this thing we're doing called life.

Very best to you, Susan. :)

You are STRONG and you are TENICIOUS!

You are like Zena Warrior Princess to me. You NEVER EVER stop fighting.

You are going to come out the other side victorious!

Thank you all for your kind words. I made it through a meeting without eating sugar. I am back to taking my large coffee and just drinking that.

I also eat dinner right before the meeting knowing that I am not hungry.

Went to the store and bought foods that I should be eating.

Most of my food addiction is when I am feeling not right. I can say pretty much any mood can make me want to eat.

I know we are all worth it and deserve to be happy and healthy.

Putting myself first is one step that I had to take.
