Help!! Insurance questions.

Ok so... im so stressed out. I know i need weight loss surgery. I even got a referral from my cardiologist. The thing is no surgeon in my state will accept my insurance for weight loss surgery. So now im looking into other insurance companies. Does anyone have any suggestions on which ones I should check into? I dont make alot of money so i need it to be not too expensive but i also need it to cover the surgery. Im just stuck . I dont know what to do. Its really depressing. Inknow this is what i need. Pick up the phone and call the number on the back of your card. Find out what surgeons are approved for weight loss surgery for your coverage. That's the first step. Are you sure your insurance covers WLS? That may be why none of the doctors take it. But call the company and ask who is approved by them and accepting patients. They have a list.

Yes im sure they cover it. I have medicaid. But no doctor in Louisiana will accept it for weight loss surgery.

there was a thread on this a couple of months ago. There is one surgeon in Louisiana who takes Medicaid. I'll see if I can find it.
