You are right on schedule. Sometimes the buyers remorse lasts until the weight loss becomes noticeable but it almost always goes away.

You just had major surgery. If you could see what they did to your insides you would definitely know why you feel so bad. Be easy on yourself and stick with the post op food plan. I promise you will feel better soon.

I often thought "what the hell did I do to myself?" in the weeks after surgery. I think mine was at its worst at 5-6 weeks. But it's only been better since then. I'm now happy I did this to myself! YOur blues should pass. I think seeing a therapist regularly helped me make peace with my decisions.

I hope you're getting your fluids in. Dehydration is a very real danger in the first few weeks after surgery. It is imperative you get enough fluids, or you can end up in the ER and it can be life threatening. Fluids first, protein second are your priorities. Sip constantly if you have to but get as close to that 64oz in as you can. Sip slowly, but sip sip sip. If water is an issue (it is for me) drink Crystal light or broth or tea or anything else you can but drink!!

I was a slow healer. I felt like crap for at least a month, and was exhausted enough to need daily naps for several months after.

Have patience. It gets better.

I hated my surgery for the first two weeks. I wanted to go back in time and try Weigh****chers one more time. This WILL pass...you will feel better soon and you won't look back! Hang in there and keep drinking sips at a time.

Hi Ginger,

I had terrible stomach cramping every time I ate or drank anything. It will pass, mine is much better now and only cramps occasionally. Are you drinking cold or warm liquids? Cold liquids would make me cramp worse, so I stuck with room temp or warm liquids and that seemed to help.

When I came home from the hospital I weighed myself, big mistake... I weighed 11 pounds more than when I went in for surgery.

They fill you full of IV fluids and it takes awhile for your body to let go of tha****er weight.

Don't get discouraged, it will get a little better every day!

Not meaning to sound like a parrot, but DITTO, to what has already been said :)

I promise things will be better soon, and all this will be a distant memory. Soon you will be telling this to some other miserable soul...

Hang in there! Your only jobs:

All sounds familiar to me. I also ended having some major post surgical depression. IT GETS BETTER! WE PROMISE!
