I've fallen preggers quite a few times after WLS . But I couldn't sustain the pregnancies .... possibly I had very mixed feelings. Can you relate ?

If you cannot commit to staying sober for 9 months (or longer), you should not consider pregnancy.

Not sure if I'm missing something but I don't see anything in the previous post about her being am alcoholic.

OP has discussed her issues with alcohol in many of her previous posts. She is a regular drinker and flat-out refuses to give it up.

>> I didn't want to give up drinking though- I tried living sober for eleven excruciating months and discovered it truly wasn't for me. I found having no relaxation outlet profoundly depressing not work and productivity conducive and just not joyful.

It's very difficult, nearly impossible without medical intervention, to carry a pregnancy to term when you are over 50.

The first thing I thought was "what on earth would she want to get pregnant for when she cannot put down the wine?" You've developed quite the reputation for being a drinker, from your outright refusal to stop to your drunk postings prior. You would put any fetus at serious risk for complications or birth defect.

Just close the door on that thought until you can think beyond your own desires.
