If you were super disciplined, you could stay in shape eating 6 cups of rice per day. But not a single one of us on this obesity site are super disciplined.

This nutrition professor lost 27 pounds while eating nothing but crappy processed snack foods -- precisely measured and logged.

This science teacher lost 56 pounds in 90 days eating only at McDonald's -- and by strictly logging and measuring what he ate.

It's possible to lose and maintain weight eating anything in the world. But the further we stray from the simple dense protein first postop plan, the harder and harder it becomes.

This is true. When I had my blood sugar episode, I was directed to eat carbs by the er doc.

I went into that er at 158 lbs. After a week or two (need to consult calendar) of following his directions I was 164 lbs. I AM STILL working to get back to the 158 lbs.

Carbs are of the devil.
