Uncontainable boobage

Can we talk boobs and bras (sorry guys)? I had been a 40K, yes that is a real size, today much less than that. Now that I am 10 months out and 100 pounds down I have needed to go bra shopping. I have described my boobs to my friends, much to their amusement and horror, as a cross between silly putty and slinkies. They puddle and the moment one part of them starts to escape the bra, the rest quickly slinks out. So far I have spent an hour and a half at winners and even went to Victoria's Secret for the first time. I have concluded I have uncontainable boobs. No matter what bra I put on there is too much boobage that starts to leak out. Really it seems like it is extra skin. The best has been 34DDD but they still want to 'puddle' at the bottom and refuse to fill the top of the cup. Are plastics my only way to be able to look professional these days? Do other ladies deal with this issue? So far I haven't come across much other than they 'oh they deflate, and 'think tube socks' when looking on forums and FB about WLS and boobs.

Victoria Secret is for 20 year olds with 34B chests. Their bras are not good for support for anyone with real boobage nor are they good quality.

Go to one of the good stores, Nieman Marcus or something like, and get one of their ladies to give you a proper fitting.

My and many others pet peeve is photos of people where their boobs are resting at waist height. Boobs where they should be make us all look better AND slimmer.

Actually I found one there (a 'full coverage') that holds them up. But the fitting was hilarious at VS she at first brought me a 38 C. On what planet was that going to work?

There is a store, but it is quite a drive that specializes in hard to find sizes. It is where I got my 40K sized one. (so sad one can't just take in a bra, it was so pretty and so $$$) But I just don't have the time to go that far right now. And even then, not sure how to fix the puddling issue. Somone on FB suggested tape.

If you can, try to find a locally owned specialty lingerie store for a proper fitting. Definitely not a VS!

Go to Nordstrom if you can and get a bra fitting. Try on a bunch of bras there and then find deals for the ones you like online. You most likely are a smaller band size and larger cup than you think!

I went to Nordstrom, had an AWESOME bra fitting, bought one of the bras (to be nice) and then went to Nordstrom Rack and found the others for half the price :)

I do Bloomers in Alexandria. Then I buy online or wait for my birthday month discount.

As a frequenter of reddit/r/abrathatfits. I do know about how most places stick you in a larger band and smaller cups.

That is how, as I mentioned in my comment, I was a 40K. Most places were trying to give me huge band sizes and smaller cups.

Right now I am for sure a 34 band. The cups are just problematic as the girls are lazy and refuse to fill a cup lol. I think I am a DDD/E but it is hard to tell lol.

Interesting visual image, lol! I don't have as much slippage as you, but I wasn't working with as much to begin with.

I'll be the dissenter of the group- I've never have any success with a professional fittings. I have my best success going on my own with a whole lot of time to try on styles, brands, sizes fits etc. Being professionally fit was almost like being shown how to breastfeed in the hospital after giving birth. You've really just gotta figure it out on your own- taking tidbits of advice from here and there.

My best success has been with Victoria's Secret. You've got to learn their bra lines, I like the Perfect Shape and Very Sexy Push up lines. I was a 46DD and am now a 36D. Would easily be a C, if not for extra skin. I've spent time in other places trying on styles/sizes etc, but Victoria's secret has been my mainstay since losing weight.

I'm with you, I've never had ANY luck with professional fittings. They've told me that I should be in a 48F, when every bra I have that fits well is a 40C. My boobs are widely-spaced and oddly-shaped, and I guess the conventional fitting wisdom just doesn't work with my body.
