Question about stomach and timing.
Your new "stomach" is basically a funnel with an always-open (though very small) end to the intestines. Liquids will move right on through, but as you progress to regular foods, they will take longer to go through. There will be a time when you will feel full for hours on 4 oz of dense protein.
This is also why it's advised to not drink for an hour or so after eating--you'll push the food out of your pouch and can feel hungry sooner than you would have if you'd waited, causing you to eat more. This is one of the ways people eat around their surgeries. Get in the habit now and you'll do great!

In a real stomach, a plyoric valve opens and closes to control the stomach and how it progresses through digestion. Gastric bypass stomachs are only pouches with no working parts. They are a storage receptacle until the food starts exiting through an artificial stoma that leads it to the intestine.
