what was on your plate???
Yup, that's what I mean. Use the 1-ounce cup to measure your portions in pureed stage. So, for the first few meals, just fill up one of the 1-ounce cups for your "meal." Then, if that feels okay, move to two cups. Two 1-ounce cups = 1/4 cup. Which is a good place for your meal size to settle during the pureed stage.

You may not feel restriction because your nerves are cut and you are healing. Jello and popsicles are considered liquids not solids...so yay! you are getting your liquids in. Popsicle = 2oz liquid. I promise you it will change when you get to dense protein.

I feel your pain, dmcs85! I was on clear liquids for 2 weeks before surgery and 1 week after...21 days in all! Protein shakes, SF jello, broth (a life saver), SF popsicles, hot tea, and water. All SF drinks grossed me out after surgery, otherwise I could have had Crystal Light if I could have tolerated it.
I didn't get strained soups, pudding or yogurt or anything like that until the next phase of my plan.
Do you recall ever feeling satisfied for the week post op? I'm worried that won't ever happen for me. Cuz right now I am hungry. I'm worried I'll be one of the ones the surgery didn't work for. I have only lost a couple lbs since my surgery Monday which blows my mind because I have only had liquids. Since I am venting.....I know this is TMI but I haven't had a bowel movement since Monday morning. That's 6 days :-(
