what was on your plate???
I was sleeved on 8/21. I ate 4 sf popsicles in 2 hours the other day and probably could have eaten more (I may not have been slightly dehydrated). But just now I poured myself 6 oz of strained mushroom soup (my nut allows 4-6 oz of liquids per hour) and I couldn't fini**** I think the difference is that the popsicles are essentially colored water. I expect to have a lot more restriction when I start purées on Monday.

I just had my first puréed food. I measured out 3 oz of chicken salad and 1 oz of puréed beets mixed with a little Greek yogurt. I made it through about half of each when I started feeling full. I definitely didn't have that feeling eating popsicles.

I was so excited to eat, mostly just to relieve the monotony. I haven't doubted that I made the right decision. When I had my psych eval, the doctor told me that many people have buyer's remorse the first few weeks until they can eat solids and move around freely. My biggest problem is that I can't lift my son (he's 32 lb), but we've figured out ways to him to climb up in bed or in my chair with me.

I totally understand about your son. I live alone with my 4 and 2 year old and it's been rough but I have no other choice but to move around how I was before the surgery. It's been ok. I barley feel like I had surgery 7 days ago. I feel like being so mobile has helped with the healing. As I get closer to purees I am feeling more excited and relieved because this 1st week has been rough.
