Question - Tracking weight over time with daily weigh-ins?
My scale syncs with TrendWeight.com, so it syncs every day. This helps me look at trends instead of daily fluctuations, which is very good for me.
I'm not sure what trackers otherwise you're talking about? I update my signature when I get to a new lowest weight. I think I did it weekly when I was losing regularly immediately post-op.

I'm thinking mostly of trackers like My Fitness Pal and here on OH.

Even though I use TrendWeight I still log once per week in MFP (Saturday), if I lose. I leave it alone if I gain because I have trends already elsewhere. Of course, thus far I realize that gains are jus****er weight, etc.

If you have an iPhone you can have every app pull your weight data from MyHealth. Otherwise, I'd probably just pick a weekday and do it all on that weekday each week :)

My scale has the option to push data to MFP and I think my FitBit app. Right now I'm not using MFP to track food as I'm working with a registered dietician through Good Measures and using their tracking app. That app I have to enter my weight manually into. There's no way I'll remember do it manually daily. :)

Technology. Bah :P
For me, I weigh on my Withings/Nokia scale and that goes to the Withings/Nokia app. It tells the Apple Health app what my weight is, and then every other app on my phone that cares about my weight pulls the weight data from Apple Health. So it's pretty spiffy.

I also use an Aria scale, and it synchs with Fitbit and trend weight. I love it.

Here I only put my weight in once in awhile, but I weigh everyday and put it into my fitness pal daily. I like seeing the stair stepper pattern and it reminds me that just because the scale went up a little on a given day it doesn't mean I'm truly gaining. I like looking and my weekly and monthly weight loss daily because it shows trends.

Antichick,
I weigh every morning. Thankfully, my scale is very much in line with both my PCP's and my bariatric surgeon's scales.
I do enter my daily morning weight (naked, after peeing) in My Fitness Pal. And I periodically look at MFP Weight Reports and my Calorie Reports to view correlations between those two (and other) metrics. FYI, my weight varies mostly two days after a calorie up-tick or down-tick. That knowledge keeps me honest.
To be clear, the above is how MY weight varies as a function of my eating. Others' weights could vary in different ways in response to different things.
I also enter my weekly, monthly, and annual surgiversary weights in an Excel spreadsheet. The metric that matters MOST to me is my Monday morning weight.
And, of course, I produce graphs of my weekly weights.
This doesn't freak me out or upset me at all. I'm a datahound. The more data I have, the happier I am. Doesn't mean any of it controls me in any way. I just like knowing what's happening.
As always, others' mileage probably does vary. :)
