Vitalady.com is a source of shakes. You can buy samples of them as well. the syntax nectar ones are pretty cool. Surprisingly I like the fuzzy navel one... If you find that you don't really like the taste freeze them as popsicles, they're good that way. When it comes to the shakes just make sure they have the 25 - 27 grams of protein Isolate...

Go to Walmart or the grocery store. Some good protein shakes are:

EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control Ready-to-Drink Protein Shake

Body Fortress protein powder (less expensive and still has good stats)

Premier Protein Shakes

Look at the labels. 1-2 grams of sugar MAX.

netrition.com sells a "protein sampler pack" you might like to try. Many people like the Syntax nectars with flavors like Fuzzy Navel and Roadside Lemonade. A word of caution though-- some people find their taste changes after surgery so I would not stock up too much prior to surgery. I've bought GNC's brand of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and mocha. They will actually give you free samples to try. I used to mix my shakes with Almond Milk to keep the carbs down. Now I find mixing them with water is just as good. Check out theworldaccordingtoeggface.com and you'll find recipes for protein shakes.

You should track your food on myfitnesspal.com and post a copy of your daily menu here... that would give us a better picture of what you're eating and we might be able to help you out more.

So much this.

I had tried samplers from most of the major brands pre-op, and didn't really care for the Premiere Protein ready to drink ones. I got big bins of the ones I liked.

Then post-op the only one I could stomach was Premiere RTD. And Syntrax Roadside Lemonade (which freezes in pop tubes from Amazon REALLY well and helped get me through post-op without dehydrating).

It's only now a year out I can stomach the powders that I initially liked so much.

If I had it to do over, I'd have found a few to do during my pre-op diet, but then re-ordered all of the samplers again for post-op and re-tested everything. I didn't expect my tastes to change as much as they did.

Also, there are unflavored powders (Syntrax has a good one, and I personally like Genepro but you'll find it's very controversial) that can be mixed in other things - I got SUPER sick of sweet tastes post-op and started mixing unflavored in boullion. (The trick to mixing the powders with hot liquids is to mix the powder in a small amount of slightly warm water, then add it to the hot liquid.)

EggFace is also AWESOME for recipe ideas for each stage.

I'm not sure what you are drinking but cut out anything but I'm hoping you are not drinking diet soda. I am ten years out since I had RNY gastric bypass. I went from 265 to 125. I maintain at 133 lbs.

I start each day with coffee with a splash of half and half. My next drink is water with lemon. I drink that and plain water for most of the day.

You are doing a good job with your food choices but I would bet that your portion sizes are too big.

Have you tried protein shakes? How about eliminating one of your meals and snack for a protein shake with at least 20 grams of protein. If you use powdered protein, use water not milk to mix.

Good for you for exercising! When you are watching TV stand up and march in place. Brushing your teeth, move as much as you can. Just walking, increasing your protein to 60 grams a day, drinking a ton of water and cut your current portion size in half should get you where you need to be.

Best of luck to you!

How are you tracking your food? what app or program are you using? how do you know for sure you are getting 1200 calories?

I have a program called In-check! It's an app that tracks my diabetes plus it logs my food intake. I put EVERYTHING I eat or drink into the app. Most days I'm not even getting the full 1200 calories...it's usually just about 1060-1100 calories! I am going to go to wm and see if I can find these protein drinks everyone is talking about!
