Juice is crap no matter where you fall on the surgery spectrum.

For my pre-op diet I was only allowed up to 5 (or maybe 6, I forget) protein shakes a day. But every surgeon's requirements are slightly different, so call yours and ask.

The point of the pre-op diet isn't weight loss, it's to get your liver ready and your brain ready.

I'm having surgery on Wednesday and luckily I only had to start liquids 2 days ago. I have been having 3 shakes a day plus a cup of bone broth in the afternoon and an herbal tea at night.
