Birthday Frustrations
I'd thank them and show them a photo of this gorgeous watermelon cake and tell them how very much you appreciate them wanting to celebrate with you and how wonderful it would be to have a cake that not only looks great, and tastes great, but is healthy and on plan. (I can't get the link to show up in the message, so here it is, just pasted in).
I made myself a much less pretty version of this for my birthday, using a mini seedless watermelon, sugar free cool whip, and strawberries to decorate, and it was a big hit with everyone. We all enjoyed it and nobody minded that it wasn't actual cake. It holds candles beautifully and tastes great.
Good luck...and happy upcoming birthday.
(edited to add the sugar free coolwhip, lol)
