Breast Cancer update
Thank you to all who sent support to me for my breast cancer diagnosis. I had my lumpectomy and sentinal lobe biopsy (removal of lymph nodes to check for cancer) on July 25. Pretty easy surgery and recovery. Still have some soreness in my left breast, and some numbness. The Dr. said it may take up to a year to get the feeling back since they pulled and stretched on the nerves there. The place in my armpit hurt the worst and gave me the most trouble, though it has healed faster than the scar on my breast. I was off work for about two weeks. Biopsy reports show all margins of the tumor are clear as well as all the nodes they removed. Yay!! Yesterday I went in for my "mapping" for the radiation treatments where they put you into position, take lots of CT pictures and put four little tattoo's on you for when they do the actual radiation. (so they can make sure to line me up exactly the same during eash radiation session. The tech said they are looking at around August 28 to start the actual radiation. NO CHEMO!! Yay!! I will have 20 sessions at this point - Monday thru Friday for four weeks. Fighting like a boss right here!
That's fantastic news! Thanks for updating us.

So glad to hear you are doing well! My brother had a node removed under his arm to biopsy for Lymphoma and he said the recovery was surprisingly hard for what seemed like a simple surgery!

I'm so glad to hear that things are going well for you, and that they got it all. So awesome that you don't have to do chemo.
My friend's Mum is going through this now and needs chemo as well as radiation.
Good luck with your treatments. Sending warm thoughts and prayers for a complete recovery.
