anyone else having trouble finding a bra after massive weightloss

Yep I have had trouble in recent months because I have regained about 10 pounds and my previous stuff (mostly sports bras) actually rubbed an abrasion against my boney ribs. Its pretty well healed but I need to get something new. And I only like cotton stuff which makes it hard. Diane s

If you live near a Nordstrom, I highly recommend their bra fitters in the lingerie department. I buy 2 bras at a time so that when I need to go down, it's not that bad. I make sure she fits the band tight enough that I'm almost uncomfortable on the outside hook and eye so I can 'shrink' them with me. Wash one, wear one, alternate by day. What's been killing me is finding sports bras I like - and getting enough of them. I work out 5-6 days a week. I like the Glamorise front zips, but they aren't cheap.

Keep on losing!

There's a store that used to be called Intimacy - now they have another name (sorry can't remember). They sell high-end European bras and I don't wear anything else. I will admit I had a breast lift which got rid of most of the excess skin (before my DS I was a 48G and now I'm a 36D). I can also now get these same bras from BareNecessities.com because I know my size now.

The bras fit amazing, are actually comfortable, and look wonderful. The people who work in the stores know how to fit people (yes, they will actually fit you properly).

Victoria Secrets are made for people 5'10" and weigh 110 pounds.

This is the best thing I've ever read about bra sizing, btw. It's been super useful to me.

I get refitted every time I go in for bras... I went from a 42" band, down to a 32/34" band.

I love SOMA for bras... although I do have one from Victoria Secret's as well.

I'm down 79lbs and gone from a 44DDD to a 38DDD, I was hoping to lose some boob lol. I had a fitting at Victoria secret, but here in Canada they are super expensive, I'm going to wait for a sale or might shop in Port Huron in a few months. Take Care, Sonja

I had gotten a Jockey fit kit for my kiddo a couple years back when she was too embarrassed to go for a fitting. I still had it in my craft supplies, so I used that to size for a couple of Jockey bras for the big slide at the beginning of my weight loss. I've been lucky that these have been fitting pretty well for most of the last 7 months, but they're starting to gap and slip, so I'm about to do it again.

I am not huge - started out as a 42D am now about a 36C - so I can't vouch for the bras for the larger ladies, but I can tell you that for my size, the Jockey bras are INCREDIBLY comfortable and supportive. The sizing isn't standard - you measure for band size and then try a bunch of different cups to find the one for the right volume of your breasts. It's a different concept, but resulted for me in a REALLY great fit and comfy bras.

You pay I think it was $20 for the fit kit, but it comes with a coupon for the same amount off of your first bra purchase. I was skeptical about putting the money out up front and buying bras without trying them on, but it has worked out REALLY well for both my kiddo and me.

Before surgery I was a B and C cup (two different size boobs). Six months after surgery I'm a D cup. I was not expecting that so when I ordered transitional bras I bought C cups and now my boobs are spilling over all the time in some of them.

The only ones that fit comfortably and still give me support now are also pretty cheap; only $21.00 at Walmart. They're called Curvation Uplift. I really like them. Super comfy and the fabric doesn't chafe at all.
