Well, I made it 2 years and I feel successful.

2 years ago today I was in surgery and had my guts rearraged. I was 42 with a BMI of 51.5 (when I went to the consult). I had a 20 month old who was running me ragged and a problem with food. Looking back over these 2 years, it seems like a roller coaster ride. I can't say that it's always been easy, but it is doable.

My weight, 2 years after weight loss surgery, fluctuates between 155lbs and 163lbs, depending on my water retention and monthly cycle. I had plastic surgery at 22.5 months post op and am just over 6 weeks out from a tummy tuck and breast lift. I am so very happy with the results of the tuck.

I'm in therapy, I'm actively living the bariactric lifestyle, and I come here daily (even if I don't always post, I'm always around, muahaha). My new therapist is amazing, and I'm so glad that I found this program. I could make a second post about her and the program and really tell you how wonderful it is, so I will probably do that at a later date. I am working hard on changing my behavior and this therapist uses Acceptance Based Behavior Therapy (ABBT). I like it because I feel like it is a structured program that can actually give me steps and goals to making the changes that I needed. With my past therapists, I always just felt like I was talking and talking and they were listening and talking but I never had a plan or an idea of how to fix things.

At any rate, I struggle with food to this day, but it's a battle that I'm winning and I see myself growing by leaps and bounds. I know that I will never be free of my food issues, but I am learning to manage them and keep a healthy and happy lifestyle.

My life has completely changed and I'm so grateful that I had the ability to have this surgery.

My highest recorded weight was in January 2015 at my bariatric seminar. My lowest recorded weight was 154lbs, last Thanksgiving Day, but I move up and down from 155 to 163 within the last few months.

Here are a few pics for before and after:

We all struggle from time to time, but as long as we get back up and dust ourselves off, we are still succeeding!!!

I would not recognize the old you if I had known you back then and you walked past me, I'd keep right on walking... that is truly a total transformation!!!

Be Proud of yourself! You deserve it!!!
