Yes, Terri..... as we lose fat our skin shifts and once also keeps changing when we hit goal. It's always a good idea to wait a year for the actual surgery once you hit goal.

I would plan on it next year, see more than 1 surgeon, so you can compare technique and pricing. You want to be lean and mean, no just kidding on the mean Show them the areas you want fixed, ask how would they go about doing it, what scarring would there be and recovering time. Cost of course....

My final decision was based on one PS getting creative with my back fat where the scar would not show.

Be sure and attend the break out where all 4 will be speaking and by attending it will inspire you even more You can add it to your bucket list

I looked at a YouTube video of a plastic surgeon who said that it is important to have surgery when you still have some fat for him to work with (to use as filler elsewhere, to use in building up deflated areas, etc.). He said that if your body has lost all excess fat, it's not as ideal, from a surgical/aesthetic point of view. But he did not say how much extra he feels is ideal, pre-op. Does anyone here know?

This is why it's important to get more than one consult and they are all different.... All 3 surgeons I saw in the Chicago area wanted me to get my body fat down as low as possible... I worked out as a body builder and my body fat was 10% when I had my first surgery. I LOVED the results and ended up being a size zero. LMBO, yes you read that right zero!

Oh, the exception to that was I did end up with no Butt. Looking back I wish I had some junk put in my trunk

See more than one surgeon, ask as many questions as possible and you will know which one is right for you.

Wow, Kathy, a size zero?! That is amazing! What an accomplishment! I literally cannot imagine myself as a zero. An 8, yes...a 6, yes...even a 4. But a zero? Even my vivid imagination doesn't stretch that far! Congratulations! I'm sure you are gorgeous!! And thanks for the good advice. When the time comes, I will do we you suggest and speak with a few surgeons!

LOL that was a year after my plastics and weight 114 pounds. I am sitting at 130 now and a size 4 after 13 years. Not sure if this old lady will ever get back to a zero and that is OK....

Keep me posted on how you are doing

What a phenomenal job you did getting back down to 130! You are always applauding the rest of us, but kudos to you! That is inspiring in addition to all that you went through initially.
