Libido....or lack thereof

Look for endocrinologists in your area who specialize in hormone therapy. That would be a good starting point. And yeah, weight loss messes with our hormones big time and many random hormones are at play in our sex drive.

My husband lost his interest in sex about five years into our marriage. It was very hard on my. I remember telling him that I didn't like to take out the garbage or muck the hen house but I still did it because it needed done - couldn't he think of sex as a nasty chore he still needed to do from time to time? Yeah... I'm a romantic like that I stuck around for another 25 years before I felt that there were only negatives coming from our relationship. The sex wasn't the only issue but I think it led to the general breakdown of our relationship.

When my sisters and I were all going through cancer treatment (I didn't have cancer, just the genetic mutation that makes me more vulnerable to it) one of my sisters lost her sex drive like you describe. She was able to see an endocrinologist who sent her on to a sex therapist and the combination got her back on track.

Good luck!!!!

Thanks - I'll look for an endocrinologist, I'd prefer to try that avenue rather than just try another urologist. I see my therapist next Tuesday, so I'll be running all t his by her as well.

GRIM - we have been together too long. I had the EXACT same thought. I'm not sure which one of us should be more afraid!

yes and yes.

I had the hen house mucked out last year. I've been able to come off almost all of my anti depression medications. Funny how that works.
