Surgery Aug 28th!!!!
The closer my surgery gets, the more nervous I get about things.....
What if I wake up and am so miserable I regret it? I don't want to regret it! I don't want to get depressed that I had the surgery. This surgery has been all I wanted for 2+ years! Just nerves I guess and worrying about the unknown and if I will b sick and if my body will deal with the surgery ok. I am seeing a therapist so that helps a great deal. Has anyone else had these fears?
Hiya :) It's totally normal to get nervous about this. Not all of us do, but many of us do!
Try to focus on your goal and why you chose to do this. And I also recommend keeping as busy as you can in order to distract yourself :)
Is this your first surgery?

That's good, I think. I feel like the people I see here who get the most panicky are those who have never had surgery before, which makes sense!
Hang in there, keep busy, and keep your eyes on the prize. Hopefully the time will go by quickly. :)

One of the best things that I decided to do before my surgery was to start journaling. I wrote about how I was getting ready, what I ate, what I thought and felt. It has been interesting to see how things have changed over the months since and very helpful. It also helped me to have a place to vent about my experience. You might want to give it a try.
