Pre-op will be a breeze - you are almost there on the losers bench!

My VSG surgeon is this super awesome great person who has never made me feel ashamed, awkward, uncomfortable, etc. He makes me feel awesome and successful and I really like him!
That said, I still dread every single appointment. Is this the one where he's going to tell me that I'm failing and he's disappointed in me?
For me, I believe this comes from a lifetime of having medical professionals treat me as a super morbidly obese thing instead of as a person. And that sucks. I hope I can rewrite those feelings some day with the positive encounters I've had. (And I hope that the fat bias in the medical world improves.)

my team was very encouraging at all the pre (and post) op appointments. they always made me feel awesome when the scale went down but didn't make me feel bad the one time it went up during the pre-op process. don't stress about it, though.
