Is a leaky bladder common?

In the last couple of months I've noticed that I have developed some urinary incontinence. It's not horrible or anything but it definitely wasn't happening before surgery at least to this frequency. I have never had kids and I know that tends to happen to women who have given birth. Has anyone else had this issue?

Often you just need keogh exercises.

I recommend talking with your doctor about this. Oftentimes urinary incontinence is due to some other underlying cause which is fixable. It's not common from WLS from what I've seen on OH.

I've not seen this as a common problem on here. I would definitely get it checked out.

My urinary incontinence improved when I lost weight, so I'd say your situation is unexpected. You haven't pulled a muscle or anything? No discomfort? I'd for sure check with your doc.

I pulled my quad muscles a few weeks ago, but I don't think that would cause this. ;-)

only if i drink diet soda or eat too many items with artificail sweeteners. They additives in those drinks and food most likely irritate my bladder. I drink them very seldom now, if any.

You definately need to see an ob/gyn. You could be having an issue with your pelvic floor.

The exercises that White Dove suggested is good.

Also, when I was a little girl, the next door neighbor (a little girl) had problems with constantly peeing her pants. She had a few operations (several times) to tighten her bladder.
