I thought it had only bipass but oh was I wrong. I never thought about it until getting more into it and doing research. Mind you, I still not really understand well everyone that is out there.
some advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!! wish me luch for tonight :) !
What surgeries are covered for you? RNY and VSG? The choice between them depends on a lot of factors. The main one is your health history - do you have a history of reflux/acid/GERD? Do you have diabetes? These are things to discuss with your doctor and with your surgeon.
Good luck.

There are a number of Canadians here and you might find answers in the forum for our province. I know the Ontario board is very active, but I don't know how the rules vary from province to province.

If you have not done so, contact your insurance company and verify if they cover WLS and if so what procedures and if there are any pre-op qualifications.? If you have Medicaid and or Medicare, contact them to verify if they cover WLS, if so, what procedures and if there are any pre-surgery qualifications you have to meet. Ask for a list of surgeons in your area that take your insurance as there are less and less surgeons that are taking Medicaid and Medicare. Let us know if you need anything else.

Kathy
