3rd Surgiversary with Pics

So I debated doing this, but I know I appreciated seeing them when I was starting out. Don't think I did one last yer because I was too busy having surgery.

3 years- it has been quite a ride. My Surgiversary was yesterday and my Birthday is tomorrow. I had surgery 2 days before my 56th Birthday. BEST DECISION EVER. BEST GIFT EVER.

If you haven't had surgery yet: Yes, I was afraid of dying on the Table, but I was killing myself anyway.I have #NoRegrets

If you are newly out of Surgery: Don't eff around. Follow the rules. Stay focused. Be a machine. Be willing to listen to the vets. Deal with your brain.

To the vets and Long-timers here: I just want to say Thank You. I would never have gotten where I am without this place. If I hadn't seen successful WLS people who had lost 100% of their excess weight and were maintaining, I wouldn't have believed it was possible for me. I have laughed, I have cried, gotten great advice on these boards and made some great friendships. Thank You

How is life better? Let me count the ways. One of my favorite NSVs that never gets old is the ability to run up the stairs in my house. Being able to pull clothes out of the closet and not worry if they are going to fit. Not saying no to things because I am afraid I can't do it. Life is now an adventure. I love to hike, I tried running for the first time in my life, and Loved it! I look forward to finding new ways to exercise...my favorite pics are me looking happy and healthy outdoors.

Is it work? Absolutely. Do I get a day off? Nope. How is maintenance? A b**ch. More in my brain, and the constant trying to figure it out. I consider myself a human experiment trying to figure out what works. Does that mean I don't enjoy myself and believe every moment is worth it? No! It was so worth it.

So Peace, Love and keep on pushing forward.... Cynthia

You've done an amazing job Cynthia. Just fantastic. That's a lot of really hard work on your part.
