I wore a binder for a few days then a (tight) genie cami for weeks. Wouldn't have been able to get into my bed (its low) or roll over onto my left side without it.

My hospital sent me home with a Velcro abdominal binder that was my security blanket for a couple of weeks.

You may want to go braless for a couple of weeks whenever possible while wound are healing, but it really just depends on where your incisions are.
