Yes look at the good in us not the bad. It is so easy to pick the crap out of ourselves.

I'm so glad you had a wonderful birthday, Susan! Welcome to the 50's. It's been a great decade for me so far. I know it will be for you, too!!

I love the tattoo. You should be proud of yourself for all of your hard work on the inside and the outside. You are a wonderful person. Never forget that!!

Happy birthday. It is a beautiful tattoo. Good for you. It is wonderful that you are able to openly share your story. It takes courage and dedication.

Happy Belated Birthday! Is there any sort of symbolism in the tattoo you chose?

We are our own worst critics, I'm sure your AA group sees so much more in you, and that's why they felt your story needed to be shared. Congrats!

I bought a racer back shirt the other day too. Bat wings be damned, it took me a lifetime to be able to wear one!

I like elephants pretty much that is what the tattoo sums up.

The AA meeting I was ****ting bricks. I was afraid to speak. But it just came out and it wasn't horrible. I actually had a lot of feedback from people who I have known in the program. Also some new people came up to me and thanked me for being honest.

The racer back I was afraid to wear it. I was like you know what my arms can be seen through my shirt so what does it matter.

Scars are hard to heal. But it is possible.
