A1c going in the right direction and appointment times

I found out I won't be seeing the surgeon until Feb....late February. A little bummed the wait is long but I am happy about learning all I can about the process. I am on medicaid due to being disabled(that's hard to say). The waits are a lot longer than some insurance companies. So I am figuring a surgery would prob happen six months after that. I will ask at the next class what the usual time it takes to complete the surgery process.
I am still excited!
In other news my A1c went down from a 6.5 to a 6.2! Woot! I have been at 6.5 for a year and a half. Before that it was 6.4 and before that a 5.9 I'm working hard :)
I did have a small piece of cake today I made for my mom's birthday dinner. It was good but one piece was enough for me. No more! It's already in the freezer for her.
Small wins kick butt!
