Ladies - get your mammograms!
Let me be first to say that my DS has now saved my life for the second time... First time was by losing over 200 pounds and getting rid of all my health issues. I'm very thankful for that in itself. Well, it has now saved my life again. I finally went in to get my routine mammogram and they found a lump - I have invasive ductal carcinoma stage 1 and I'm going in for my lumpectomy on Tuesday. They told me that because of how dense my breast tissue is, if I hadn't lost my weight, they probably wouldn't have found the cancer so soon. It is VERY curable at this time. I'm very thankful to God for orchestrating my health needs. HE told me "no" to my skin surgery because HE knew there was something more pressing for me to take care of.
So... please get your boobies checked... you never know what is lurking behind all that excess fat and tissue... I'm thankful I did!

My sister was just diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer - it is in her lymph nodes. Her doctor kept nagging and nagging her to get a mammogram and she finally did!
She can't have surgery until after chemo and radiation.
Good luck with your surgery and thanks for the PSA. We must look after ourselves and this is a kind reminder
