A Dinner In your Sleeve/Pouch
I thought it would be cool for the folks pre-op to show them what a dinner looks like in the post-WLS world, in pictures. I had trouble pre-op comprehending what amount of food I'd be eating at what stages. Maybe there's already been a post like this before that I missed. But, feel free to join me and show folks what a dinner in your world looks like!
Here's mine from tonight! I'm 6 months post op from VSG. This was 2.5oz of pulled pork butt with Eastern North Carolina BBQ sauce (vinegar based) and 1oz of sauteed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and summer squash).
I use a dessert plate or saucer, but I put it on a full-size dinner plate for size reference.

LOL no pic, but imagine Erin's dinner, minus the veggies and add 1.5 oz of pork...that's what I had! 4oz smoked pulled pork.
EDITED TO ADD: Turns out I do have a pic I took of the same meal a while back, so here you go: (Note: plate is 6.5" long by 5" wide. That's my yellow pill container behind it lol)
I'm hoping those green and yellow things are just for show, right?

You might just pass out if you saw the portions of vegetables I eat Grim.
For lunch I am having Singapore "Noodles" (Shirataki Noodles) w/Shrimp, but to go WITH IT, I am having a Spinach Salad (2oz Spinach, 2.2oz Cucumbers, 1.1oz Vidalia Onion, 1.9oz Red Bell Pepper, 3.3oz Tomatoes) and 2oz of Sugar Snap Peas!
That's over 10oz of vegetables with lunch alone. Not including the the red peppers, onions snow peas and "noodles" (they are made of a root, that's a veggies, right?) that are in my Singapore Noodles.
Then again, I follow an eating plan called "Pound of Cure" - and the "pound" is a pound of vegetables a day, so it's not really an accident!
Is that fiesta ware? I have the same plates - different color. I'll try to remember to take a picture of my dinner tonight!
