My cardiologist told me he has never seen a patient keep it off this long. I am sure there are many many success stories.

Dont be mad, as arevision patient, I know that what he told you is not a lie, take it as a motivator to keep working hard and never get the issues in life get in the way of the new patterns you have created for you. I am incredible proud to see your stats, YOU HAVE COME SO FAR!!!! that is fantastic. His choice of words may not have been the best. but we are all human, and as a cardiologist he probably gets to see the bad stories more often than the good ones. Thanks for venting and keep working hard!!!

When I was one day post op the tiniest sip of water was causing me to vomit and the protein shakes made me nauseous so I asked if I (per my doctors suggestion) if could have a spoon of unsweetened applesauce to help me get the meds down

and one of the RN's on the BARIATRIC UNIT, informed me that with that "attitude" I would likely regain all the weight I was going to lose... I made a "fuss", she no longer works on that unit.

Insensitive but not wrong. My primary doctor told me that I am the healthiest RNY patient he has and I believe him. I'm very vigilant about everything and my blood levels are all great. This has nothing to do with my doctor and EVERYTHING to do with me. Bear in mind that I am 13 years out this week. The excitement has gone, but I still plug away at this thing.

Reading posts here most days shows me that a lot of people do not take the time to learn and advocate for themselves. I could pick out potential failures just from how some act on posts here.
