Part of me is excited to start feeling and being healthier but also petrified of the risks. I have two small children who I worry about the most. I fear the complications that could render me disabled or worse. But in the end it's a low risk vs high benefit situation. It is inspiring to read about your experience and have support here (especially because my husband is not thrilled with the idea of surgery and I haven't told anyone else).

Im grateful to have a place to talk about these issues and experiences with a sympathetic ear.
