I basically read all the old posts in the VSG and RNY forums pre-op and created my promises based on the frequently asked questions and the answers those questions received.

VSG with Dr. Salameh - 3/13/2014
Diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder and started Vyvanse - 7/22/2016
Reconstructive Surgeries with Dr. Michaels - 6/5/2017 (LBL & brachioplasty), 8/14/2017 (UBL & mastopexy), 11/6/2017 (medial leg lift)

Age 42 Height 5'4" HW 319 (1/3/2014) SW 293 (3/13/2014) CW 149 (7/16/2017)
Next Goal 145 - normal BMI | Total Weight Lost 170

walk walk walk because the healthier you do into surgery the healthier you come out. You will need to walk to prevent clots and get the system going.

The other links are great, this is just my rule.

Thank you, I already swim every day, have been since January with very few exceptions. I wanted to be at my healthiest going in.

It sounds as though you are doing the most important items. You may be restricted from swimming for a few days/weeks after surgery, so check with your surgeon.

Good luck, but with the positive and persistent mindset you have, I think you will do fabulously!!!!

I would definitely second the idea of drinking lots of water over the next week, it will be much harder after surgery and you need to be hydrated. I wish I had upped my water intake before surgery. Also bring an eyeshade and earplugs if you want to get any sleep in the hospital. After surgery, come here for support often. It made so much difference to me as I had so little support in my circle.
