NSV - sporty vacation!
DH and I went on vacation this week, and I've always wanted to do a few things but could never because of my weight. Last year we did roller coaster and this year I got to go parasailing! We tried to do it together but our combined weight was too high (DH is a big guy). Funny how DH weighs exactly the amount of weight I lost, so our combined weight = what I weighed PRE WLS...!
Then today I got to go ziplining and rappelling (just a little bit on this one). The longest zip was 900 feet and it was SO MUCH FUN! We did 7 zips, 4 rope bridges, 1 rappelling, 2 spiral staircases in the sky, and 1 floating bridge. All were so high up we needed to be strapped in for each of these.
I feel like so much has been opened up to me for possibilities. We used to take relaxing do-nothing vacations only. Which we enjoy and I'm sure will still enjoy but honestly I had no idea I'd enjoy this too.

Wow, good for you! Looks like you had a great time. I was thinking of doing some of those things too, however some bad images keep popping up in my head, like if I zip lined what if it got stuck, or the Jaws movie for parasailing. lol I have an over active imagination. lol

DH was in the boat while I was parasailing and they asked if they could dunk me - I'm so happy Allen chose not to be mean lol! It was cold in the water that day and I would have not been good with that ha! I did brake too soon on every single zip except 1 which means I had to 'self rescue' which sounds scary but is pretty easy. I have almost no upper body strength and I could do it. They gave us training before we went up so I was able to do it but I was super concerned about that beforehand.
You could so do it!
Super awesome!!

Lol. I know someone that happened to. They said yhere was a sign that read "Zip your lips on the zip!" But she thought it was a joke. It's all fun and games until you swallow a bug.

That is so much fun! We did zip lining in Whistler and I want to go back in the summer and do the one they call Sasquatch--it's some ridiculous amount of meters high and like 2 km long! It's in the search and rescue flight path, so they had just shut it down when we were there around Thanksgiving.
I love going out and doing stuff that I wouldn't have been able to do before. I wouldn't jump out of a plane, but I'd definitely do parasailing. I'm so glad that we can look at things like safety harnesses and not worry about it not fitting.
Fantastic!
