No Longer Obese, and new swimsuit...

I took a chance and ordered a new swimsuit online from swimsuitsforall.com ... I'm so happy with it. I haven't had a brightly colored swimsuit, and certainly not one that's form fitting, for years.

I also have a new weight this morning. I'm losing very slowly right now. I know exactly why, and I'm working on it, but the 1 new pound lost has put me in the officially "overweight" BMI category.

This swimsuit is a size 14. When I started I was in a tight 22 or a loose 24 swimsuit. I am now down 103# with a BMI of exactly 30.0 ... I still have a ways to go, just under 30# to lose. But I'm so happy with the way I feel now, I have energy to move and do things. And the physical transformation is a lovely bonus.

Hair's not done, and no makeup on yet today (so be kind), but I just had to share!!

(Hubby loves it as well, and is only miffed because the suit is for the pool/beach on a business trip later this month and he won't be there.)

Thanks!! My nickname is the AntiChick for a reason, though I may have to find a new nickname. I have historically not worn much makeup, and completely failed at the girl-fu. I have historically not worn much makeup AT ALL, and completely failed at the girl-fu in general. I have taken this WLS experience as an impetus to revamp my look and seek remedial girl-fu education. I am also graduating in Dec with my master's in healthcare informatics and will likely be on a mangement track in the near future. So since I am having to replace literally every item of clothing, I'm trying to develop a better sense of style and learn to do the makeup and hair thing.

So I actually don't feel done up enough even for errands without brow stuff, a little eye color, mascara, and tinted lipgloss anymore. This morning it's raining here and all I'd done was wet my hair a little and run a brush through it and slap a bit of mascara on because hubby took me out for a quick breakfast before he had to go do errands, and I have a ton of house cleaning and organizing to do, so I'm not going to bother with more today... but really wanted to share the new swimsuit photo, especially after finding that 1 extra pound gone this morning!!

Thanks! I'm trying to learn not to focus on the things I see as flaws, but it's a hard thing to re-wire in my brain. :) I do see the amazing progress, so that's good. :D

It doesn't matter how quickly or slowly you lose. This is your, own, unique, journey. You are certainly beautiful on the outside but I can tell by your posts you are beautiful on the inside too.
