Is surgery for me? Severe nut allergies

Do you by any chance remember the brand name of the pre-op liquid meal replacement? I know that unjury and Barilife are both out for me...optifast seems ok but is not offered at my center.

Otherwise, I feel better about not drinking shakes and getting my protein from natural sources. I'm sure it will require more effort, but at least I know someone has done it. Thanks!

Contact your allergist. Explain what you are doing and I'm sure s/he will be able to give you guidance. I would think they have run into this question before.

Someone on another board mentioned pre-op without protein shakes. I've asked them for more info.

Anyone heard of that?

If you are that concerned, read the ingred list and if OK, check with your dr, try them now.
