Fecal incontinent
I over three years post rny. I have always had problems with constipation. Know it is the opposite. I half to take extra clothes with me when I go out. I don't have time to run to the bathroom. I don't mean to be crude, but it just leaks out. This has been going on for about two months. Does anyone have any experience with This?
Are you eating anything with sugar alcohol in it? When I eat sugar free candy I can have the same thing happen. In fact, if I am really constipated I eat some sugar free candy and that usually takes care of the problem.
In any case you should talk to your doctor about it. It is not normal and you need to know what is causing it.
You may have CIBO, chronic intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
Since this is a relatively recent occurrence it needs to be evaluated.

Here are my thoughts:
If you have a blockage, then stool will squeeze around it and come out like that. The fix is too clean out the intestines. A doctor can do tests to see if you are "full of it". If you are not producing a lot more poop than "normal" people, it is a concern.
You may not be getting enough fiber and that can cause "ribbon" stools that are not formed enough to properly pass and will sometimes leak out instead.
You may be lactose intolerant. You would then need lactose pills if you consume dairy.
You may be eating a fruit or vegetable that your body cannot handle.
Tomatoes and oranges are too examples of acidy foods that some RNY patients cannot digest. You may have eaten something for years that suddenly stopped agreeing with you.

The OP has been an OH member since 2012. Very untroll-like.
OP, definitely talk to your doctor. I have learned that even for myself, it's easy to want to find a reason for health issues in our surgery, but usually it's not related at all. Please see your regular doctor ASAP and get a referral to a gastroenterologist.
