Doctor's Office Called
July 2, 2004
The doctors office called on Monday 6/28 and are sending the papers to the insurance company. I was told they would do it within 5 days but they didn't. The person who does this was on vacation. I am nervously optimistic. BCBS of IL has been a nightmare for most but I have seen post on the board from people who have BCBS of CA (which I have) and they were approved in a few days. Keep your fingers crossed!
HAPPY 4th of July!
Update thought - "You" have to stay on top of this process with both the insurance company and the surgeon's office. It's a balance between follow up and not ******g the person off that is processing your paperwork. Your involvement can reduce stress and time.

Getting involved helps you feel empowered and in control. This is so important for us.... let's be honest, those of us that are obese have not been involved or in control for years. Working with the surgeon's office and insurance is the first step in taking control of "US"!!!!

So true. People in AA who stay involved have the longest sobriety. Not saying everyone is a food addict. But I know for me going to meetings and coming here has helped me.
I know when I become secluded from everyone there will be trouble. Not that being by yourself is a bad thing. But when I isolate that is bad.
Anyways that is just me.
I think many of us who end up 100+ pounds overweight have a food addiction of some sort (IMHO since I feel that I am a "recovering" food addict).
