I recognize that spiders have a function in our ecosystem, and I won't go out of my way to kill them....unless they invade my personal space, then all bets are off.

A couple weeks ago I was driving in the car with my mother-in-law and my son. I'm cruising through a parking lot and I see a spider on my sun visor. I calmly ask my MIL for a tissue and attempt to smash the interloper....except I miss and it falls on me. I'm pretty sure the noise that came out of my mouth wasn't even human and I exited the car post-haste (after throwing it in park, of course).

YEP, it was not human for sure!

These spider reaction noises are probably the reason the Bigfoot legend lives on.

But when I first came to north coast california, I was bitten by a spider. my leg swelled and I was miserable. I sought medical attention at a free clinic and was told there are no poison spiders here. Apparently not true. I am 60 miles south of Oregon border. Diane S
